PRIMARY PURPOSE OF THE POSITION
Responsible for the prevention and control of any losses at the Depot and ensuring corrective measures/actions taken.
KEY FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Review everyday tracking of all fleet vehicles of the Depot.
- Review cameras for any abnormalities during night shift/weekends.
- Investigate any losses that occurs.
- Responsible for daily, weekly and monthly reports.
- Spot check stock counts daily.
- Ensure that trucks are not under/overloaded and immediately check irregularities.
- Ensure that overloads are returned to Depot and properly GRV.
- Review forensic reports.
- Responsible for weekly inspection of trucks and logbooks.
- Responsible for the save storage of petrol cards.
- Ensure that vehicle maintenance programs are well maintained.
- Responsible for continuous monitoring of alarm systems.
- Assist with planning and organizing of daily loads.
- Continuous developing/improving overall security at Depot.
- Employee Management, i.e. disciplinary hearings, recruitment, performance evaluations.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATION AND EXPERIENCE
- Grade 12 (NQF 4) and 3-5 years' experience in Security or Retail Loss Control, including at least 1-2 years' experience in a supervisory capacity.
- A relevant certificate (NQF 5) with 2 years' related experience as well as proven experience in a supervisory capacity.
- Experience in a Distribution environment will be an advantage.
- A mechanical background will be an advantage.
- Valid driver's license.
- Computer literate.
- Good communication skills in English.
