PRIMARY PURPOSE OF THE POSITION
Responsible for business planning and operations to pro-actively ensure that all required sales targets are met and to develop and maintain sales performances. Responsible for the safe transporting and delivering of goods.
KEY FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Timeously collect orders from customers and carefully work through all relevant product/SOH catalogues to ensure adequate stock has been ordered to prevent any out-of-stock situations.
- Ensure all orders placed by customers reach the Namib Mills offices for processing, on time and accurately.
- Ensure that all promotional, filling and or special request orders are clearly communicated and attended to.
- Practice strict Stock Control measures and assist customers if and where possible to rectify stock levels issues. Arranges for replacements (expiry date exceeded) as per laid down rules and regulations and ensuring that all Namib Mills products are merchandised according to NM standards and BTL manual.
- Do proper and regular floor walks with the merchandiser of the store to identify problem areas or potential growth areas and task the merchandiser with duties to complete within a specific time frame.
- Ensure claims are monitored closely and attend to any claims immediately. Ensure placement of stock in warehouse/storeroom are managed to avoid unnecessary damages/claims.
- Assist merchandiser where necessary, work as a team and serve as the face of Namib Mills brands in a professional manner.
- Ensuring proper maintenance and care of delivery vehicle. Do the daily, weekly and monthly vehicle inspections.
- Ensure that deliveries are done on time, accurately and that the necessary paperwork is completed and returned according to the standard operating procedures. Ensure the proper process and paperwork is completed for any returns.
- Complete any Adhoc functions as requested by the supervisor and/or manager.
- Understand your customer, consumer needs and the business.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATION AND EXPERIENCE
- Grade 12 (NQF4)
- At least 2 years' experience within the FMCG environment in Sales and driving a delivery vehicle.
- Namibian citizen.
- Valid Namibian driver’s license (Code C1 with GP)
- Computer literate.
- Must be able to communicate well in English.
- Must be willing to travel and work extensive hours and weekends
